Notes

This celluloid cylinder can only be read with the phonograph "Le Merveilleux", first invented by Henri Lioret in 1895. The mechanism of this phonograph is the same as the one used in the talking toy doll "Bébé Jumeau" developped with Emile Jumeau for Christmas 1893. The duration of this recording does not exceed 30 seconds. The catalog number (1007) has been found in the 1897 cylinder catalog. The real title of the song is "Tha Ma Ra Boum Dié", written by Henri J. Sayers (french lyrics by Fabrice Lémon). One verse was recorded.
